We Did IT!!!

The final numbers are in!  The 5th Annual Wacky Warriors Charity Softball Tournament raised a few dollars OVER $10,000!!!!!!  I am humbled to announce that today I wrote three checks:

$1,060 to the Jesse William Barney Trust – our local friend from South Jordan who is currently battling brain cancer.  Wacky Warriors proudly matched every dollar donated in his behalf.  Please visit his blog site for more information.

$4,500 to CureSearch – a foundation dedicated to childhood cancer research.  The CureSearch Walk for Salt Lake City was held last weekend.  Wacky Warriors were not able to participate this year, but still chose to support their efforts in finding a cure!

$4,500 to First Descents – at least four young adult cancer survivors will be able to attend an outdoor adventure camp next year!

We are amazed at the generosity of all those that participated.  We cannot adequately describe how wonderful it feels to know we are not alone in our fight against this horrific disease attacking our children.  CureSearch will continue with extraordinarily promising clinical trials and First Descents will continue to provide an excellent environment for young cancer survivors to heal their spirits.  They will be able to do this because you helped.  Nick personally benefited from both foundations and we believe his legacy with Wacky Warriors is making sure other “kids and young adults” will benefit, as well.

You make a difference and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
