Marathons Update

Dave, Paul and Paul’s brother, Brad, ran in the Timpanogos Half-Marathon on July 28th.  Because Lee’s hamstring was still giving him fits, he had to do 13.1 miles on an elliptical machine.  To make sure he was part of the race, Paul carried Lee through the race using a picture of Lee glued to a stick.  Lee still got up early, however, to make sure he was there in person to cheer them on.

The Porter Rockwell Half-Marathon was held on August 18th and Lee, Paul and his daughter, Ashley, represented Wacky Warriors in true form.  Lee was BEYOND thrilled to have his hamstring back working again.  Dave was dinking off at Lake Powell with his family, so is now headed off to the Mesa Falls Half-Marathon in order to keep his half-marathon commitment going.  He is actually going to drive all the way up to Ashton, Idaho on Friday night, run Saturday morning, then drive back home.  There is something seriously wrong with those that run marathons.

They are half way through!!!!!  Here are the next scheduled runs:

The Rock and Roll Half-Marathon in Philadelphia PA on September 16th.

The Honor Hero Race Half-Marathon in Ft. Worth Texas on October 21st – Click here for information.  This one has particular sentimental connections and we are so grateful for the opportunity to combine efforts.  Check it out!

The November Half-Marathon has not been scheduled yet – Contact us if you have a suggestion.

The Hoover Dam Half-Marathon by Lake Mead, NV on December 15th – Click Here to go to the race website

The WACKY Goofy Event on January 12th and 13th.  Click Here to go to the race website.  The pinnacle event

Once completed, they will have each run 157 WACKY miles!  We should have a dedicated website for the marathon events to invite those interested to run with Lee, Dave & Paul or to pledge dollars in support of their efforts.  I am making a determined effort to become Twitter efficient and will update accordingly!  Click here to donate/pledge

Nice job, fellas!  Orlando, here we come!
